The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC), hosted by the American Mathematical Society, is an internationally prestigious math competition with more than 300,000 students from all over the world competing each year. For colleges such as MIT and CALTECH that value STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), their admission applications even have their own category specifically for the AMC's academic results.

On February 6 (Thu), students from Wanbang School participated in AMC12 (a level that tests the complete high school curriculum) and 11th graders,  Han Woosuk and Han Yoonsoo scored in the top 5 percent, qualifying for the upper-level AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination).
