NEC(National Economics Challenge) China Finals 2020
The National Economics Challenge (NEC), which has been held annually since 2000 by the Council for Economics Education, is the most influential economic competition for high school students in the United States, with more than 10,000 high school students in the United States and more than 2,000 high school students in China participating in the event.
For the high scoring teams from the December 21, 2019 NEC China Preliminary, the NEC China Finals were conducted online on June 20, 21, and 26, 2020 respectively.
NEC Finals consists of the Qualifying Test, which individually addresses microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics and current events, the Super Economic Con, which team members work together to solve questions, and a final report and PPT presentation using economic theories to analyze and report on global economic issues.
Wanbang School participated in both the DS (David Ricardo division, for students who did not take economics classes such as AP) and the AS (Adam Smith division students who did take economics classes such as AP) for the NEC Finals and achieved excellent results.
